forget a grand entrance

sweet summer revival

sooo summer school is stupid. i went on my account online to see how much the class was going to cost… and it was a whooping $550 without the text book! damn community college! i know it doesn’t sound too expensive, but since i’m going to my university with scholarships and financial aid, that is a lot to spend on one class.

but it’s all ok! my university offers that class so i don’t mind taking a few more credits this semester (i feel like i’ve been slacking lately by only taking like 13-14 a semester) so my summer is going to be filled with working, getting back into shape, lacrosse camp, beach trips, and being a dc tourist with my sweet boy toy (:

life update

well, i’m done with my freshman year of college! that’s a huge accomplishment for me. i did better than last semester grade-wise, but i’m still not satisfied with my overall gpa… i mean, whateverrr i still have three more years!

after finals week, i had a few days to relax, a few weeks of lacrosse left to handle, and a new boy. i know, this is definitely big news. it’s just super weird because only a year ago i thought i would never find someone that would ever make me this happy ever again… and next thing you know, one person walks into your life and makes you feel a little less empty. i guess life just throws little unexpected surprises at you when you least expect it.

anyways, as of now, i have a full-time job as an office assistant and starting monday, i have to go to summer classes at my local community college. soo, i’ll have class in the morning from 8am to 10:30pm, then i’ll have to go to work from 12pm to 9pm every monday through friday until mid-august… talk about busy! at least i’ll be making bank and getting my gen eds over with (:

so long, sweet summer~

day 21 - one of your favourite shows

i always got excited whenever the fresh prince of bel-air theme song came on. will smith is such as amazing actor, not to mention he kind of reminds me of my older brother haha p.s i like the bucket of fried chicken that guys holding… way to fit the stereotype

day 20 - how important you think education is

in my opinion, education should be mandatory. i feel like people who say “school isn’t for everyone” are just lazy. you don’t have to be a genius to do well in school, you just need to put in some effort, dedication, and willingness to learn. i am a excellent example of this theory.

day 19 - disrespecting your parents

this is probably the one thing that ticks me off about some people. sure, i fight and bicker with my mama and papa, but i have a lot of respect for them. my parents have sacrificed a lot to raise me, and the least i owe them is my respect.

current cravings #1

  • nars nana lipgloss (limited edition so i need to order it from the nars site)
  • leather shorts
  • cute pictures to hang in my room
  • gossip girl season 3 dvd
  • tribal-print romper
  • essie nail polishes
  • p90x dvd

day 18 - your beliefs

i believe nothing is beyond repair. i believe sometimes crying is the only remedy. i believe in sensible shoes and unsensible people. i believe that hard work pays off eventually, and that the number eighteen is the best number in the world.

i may not be religious, but i am a believer.

day 17 - your highs and lows of this past year

highs of 2010: getting into universities, walking onto the women’s intercollegiate lacrosse team, and meeting some amazing people.

lows of 2010: not getting into universities, deterioration of relationships, and gaining the freshman fifteen.

to quote marilyn monroe, “sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

day 16 - your views on mainstream music

haha what is this, eighth grade? music is music; i’ll listen to anything good.
